July 31, 2020, IIT Bay Area Alumni (IIT-BAA) association announces the appointment of new Board of Directors. The newly appointed Board Members are Amit Gupta, Ishita Sharan, Rao Charagondla, Sarwat Amina, Nidhi Kannoujia, Lochan Alagh, Hrishikesh Sathawane and Bidyut Parruck. Indra Singhal will support the team as Advisor.

 

Amit Gupta [in] (IIT Delhi, 1989) will lead the team as the President of IIT-BAA. 

Amit is a well-known technologist and entrepreneur. Amit’s contributions to Silicon Valley include founding multiple start-ups, leading teams to success and driving technology leadership. Amit has been supporting the IIT Bay Area community for years and has been  mentoring/advising IIT startups for early stage technology founders.

 

Ishita Sharan [in]  (IIT Kharagpur, 1997) will lead the team as the Vice President of IIT-BAA.

Ishita is an entrepreneur and technology executive with decades of experience in leading teams to deliver high-impact solutions. Ishita has been actively supporting the IIT Bay Area community and multiple other  non-profit organizations in the field of technology and social impact.

 

Rao Charagondla [in] (IIT Kanpur, 1993) will serve as Treasurer of IIT-BAA. 

Rao will take charge of all funds and transactions of the corporation. Rao has been supporting the IIT-BAA community for years. He also contributes to multiple  other organizations in the field of health, technology and social services.

 

Sarwat Amina  [in] (IIT Kharagpur, 2001) will serve as Secretary of IIT-BAA. 

Sarwat will lead all the efforts supporting the Board of Directors and its committees. Sarwat has been an active member of the IIT-BAA community for years.

 

Nidhi Kannoujia [in] (IIT Roorkee, 2003) will serve as Program Chair and Marketing Lead of IIT-BAA. 

Nidhi will lead the efforts on events and marketing activities tailored for the IIT Bay Area community. Nidhi has been involved in supporting the IIT Bay Area community for years.

 

Lochan Alagh [in]  (IIT Roorkee, 2013) will serve as Volunteer Team Lead of IIT-BAA. 

Lochan will also support the team as Marketing Lead for required marketing activities. Along with her support for the IIT Bay Area community, Lochan has also been supporting many other communities in the field of environment, politics and education.

 

Hrishikesh Sathawane [in]  (IIT Bombay, 1997) will serve as Sponsorship Lead of IIT-BAA. 

Hrishikesh will lead all communications and efforts for raising funds and sponsorships. Along with his focus on strategic business growth, Hrishikesh has also been an active contributor to the human rights community.

 

Bidyut Parruck [in]  (IIT Kharagpur, 1981) will be part of IIT-BAA Board of Directors as Director-at-Large. 

Bidyut is an accomplished  business leader and has been supporting the IIT Bay Area and many other organizations making a positive impact on the community.

 

Indra Singhal [in] (IIT Kharagpur, 1981) will support the team as Advisor to IIT-BAA Board. 

Indra is an executive and entrepreneur with decades of experience in technology. He has built and mentored the startups from inception through product development on to revenue. Indra is also the former board member/CFO of IIT-BAA and has been supporting the IIT Bay Area community for years.
